Lynne Thorsen is an intuitive healer, holistic therapist, workshop facilitator and freelance writer on self-empowerment, healing and natural birth. Her inspirational stories have been published in a number of international magazines and she is a contributing author to three internationally bestselling ‘Adventures in Manifesting’ titles. Her entertaining and transformational workshops are based on the philosophy that we are all in a state of constant creation. Her focus is to provide her participants with the knowledge and tools to create the life that they really want to live! Currently she is a mentor and training assistant to Binnie A Dansby for the Source Process & Breathwork Practitioner training in Estonia and England.
BiographyI grew up in Melbourne, Australia and began a life long love affair with traveling when I went on a three year voyage of the world in my mid 20's. I originally trained as a Physical Education teacher and taught in schools in Adelaide and Melbourne for three years. During my travels I started working in Hospitality Management and continued on my return to Australia. I was sent to the USA for training for 9 months and then worked in Melbourne managing large casual dining restaurants for five years. I worked with many young people as their manager and mentor and realised that my love of teaching had never ceased. After leaving hospitality I had a brief sojurn working in London for STA Travel, developing a travel website that I had created. I decided the corporate world was not for me and left to start my family and continue my studies in Holistic Therapy.
I am currently a fully qualified and certified Holistic Therapist in ISET (Integrated Self Empowerment Therapy) 2000 and SOURCE Process & Breathwork, 2013. I have three children and live in rural South West France. I became interested in Birth during the pregnancy and birth of my first child. She was a breech baby and I had to go against the accepted medical paradigm to birth her naturally at home. This demonstrated to me that many women and their partners were being fed misinformation and that many modern medical birthing techniques and interventions were contra-indicated to an empowering, ecstatic natural birth. Once I started working with my mentor and business partner, Binnie A Dansby, with Source Process & Breathwork, I began to realise the long term effect that current birthing practices were having on individuals and society as a whole. I believe that we have an opportunity to increase the level of peace and happiness the world over by beginning with ecstatic, empowering births! I am currently working as a therapist, facilitator of workshops, mentor on the Source Process & Breathwork Practitioner training course in Estonia & running personalised retreats. I have had three stories published in the Internationally bestselling 'Adventures in Manifesting' Series of which the third in Soulful Relationships was co-authored with Binnie. In January 2010, I was in a deep dark place, even though I was happily married with three beautiful children, living in a gorgeous French farmhouse and financially free not to need to work!
How could all that possibly make me unhappy? Simply put, I was unfulfilled! I felt like I had not discovered my purpose in life and lived my life to my potential. This left me feeling like a failure and desperately unhappy! With support I began a healing journey and during the course of that journey, I discovered the story and impact of my own birth! Sacred Valley Retreat
In December 2024 and 2025, I have participated in the Shift Network's Sacred Valley Retreat in Peru. Visiting sacred sites such as Machu Piccu, Rainbow Mountain, Ollantaytambo, Pisac & Lake Titicaca. Working with a world renowned Shaman, Puma Freddy Quispe Singona, I engaged in plant medicine ceremonies in order to open my heart and expand my consciousness. These ceremonies have helped me connect with my true purpose and remove my inertia to move forward and make my dreams become my reality.
